What we doThe Roleystone Volunteer Fire Brigade is an emergency service, which has the responsibility of protecting the community from the threat of fire. Lives and property depend on our ability to provide a prompt and professional service. The brigade was originally formed to combat the threat of bushfire.
While this was our primary role, more recent times we have seen a widening of our duties, to include car fires, property fires and hazardous material incidents. We also attend the occasional car accident, but only in a support capacity while backing up the career Fire and Rescue Service.
FESA Fire and Rescue Service
The FESA Fire and Rescue Service – comprising more than 800 career firefighters and nearly 2,000 volunteer firefighters – combats fires in urban areas impacting on man-made structures, bushland, trees, rubbish and the like.
Volunteer Bush Fire Service
