There are many different types of appliances currently employed by the fire services in WA, Within Roleystone there are 3 permanent appliances used for combating fires, 1 incident control vehicle and a summer light tanker.

FRS 2.4

The primary turnout appliance for fires within the Roleystone gazetted townsite is our FRS 2.4.

2.4U

ROLE
The 2.4 Urban Tanker has an operating crew of six (6) carries the necessary fire fighting equipment to the fireground, where it can be used to pump water from the tank, open water and street mains. The appliance is suitable for larger townsite protection, carries Breathing Apparatus and is ideal for broadacre / rural / bush fire fighting.


BFS 2.4

The primary turnout appliance for fires outside the Roleystone gazetted townsite is our BFS 2.4.

2.4R

ROLE
The 2.4 Rural Tanker has an operating crew of six (6), carries the necessary fire fighting equipment and is based on the CALM Heavy Duty Appliance. It is ideal for broadacre / rural / bush fire fighting and has limited structural fire fighting capacity.


Light Tanker

The secondary turnout appliance for all fires within Roleystone district is our Light Tanker.

LightTanker

ROLE
The light tanker serves as a fast attack appliance, capable of negotiating most situations likely to be encountered in both metropolitan and regional areas.

The light tanker is a versatile appliance, having the capability of being used at incidents such as bushfires and structural fires.
